The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove practical if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, but it uses a flexible cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were also assessed in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of experts in the mattress industry and in products science; visited lots of mattress factories, display rooms, and stores; and pored over the fine print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and accommodating practically every convenience preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Ashley Sierra Sleep 13 Gel Memory Foam Mattress King
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimum spine support”; we’re less impressed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and long lasting foams and coils.
