The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove helpful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your requirements change over time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, but it offers a supple cushion, excellent edge support, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were likewise examined in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of specialists in the bed mattress market and in products science; checked out lots of mattress factories, showrooms, and stores; and pored over the fine print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with a choice of firmness levels and catering to almost every convenience choice– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Bed Topper Is Too Big
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. But we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of fiberglass or chemicals) and just organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column support”; we’re less amazed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and resilient foams and coils.
