The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which might prove helpful if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs alter over time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, however it provides a supple cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of specialists in the bed mattress industry and in materials science; checked out dozens of bed mattress factories, stores, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– lots of with a choice of firmness levels and dealing with nearly every comfort choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Best Lightweight Queen Mattress
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. But we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (rather than chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “optimal spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and resilient foams and coils.
