The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show handy if you’re not sure what you choose or if your requirements change over time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, but it uses a flexible cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were also evaluated in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve interviewed scores of professionals in the bed mattress industry and in products science; visited lots of bed mattress shops, factories, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specs, guarantees, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and dealing with almost every convenience preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Enso Mattress On Line
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. However we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spine support”; we’re less satisfied with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and resilient foams and coils.
