These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam bed mattress and the best innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve interviewed ratings of specialists in the bed mattress market and in products science; checked out lots of bed mattress display rooms, factories, and stores; and pored over the great print on specifications, guarantees, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and dealing with practically every comfort choice– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Good Housekeeping Saatva Mattress
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brand names. We do understand that the company utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column support”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and long lasting foams and coils.
