For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven bed mattress for a number of weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I have actually talked to scores of professionals in the mattress market and in products science; checked out dozens of bed mattress display rooms, stores, and factories; and read the small print on specifications, service warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, supervising editor Courtney Schley assessed the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for several weeks.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with a choice of firmness levels and accommodating nearly every comfort choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). How Much Does A Saatva Mattress Cost Twi
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. However we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimal spine support”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and long lasting foams and coils.
