The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may show valuable if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs alter over time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, however it provides a supple cushion, good edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of experts in the bed mattress market and in materials science; checked out lots of mattress stores, factories, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on specs, warranties, and return policies.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– numerous with an option of firmness levels and dealing with practically every convenience preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Delays
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. But we do know that the company utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (rather than fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less pleased with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and long lasting foams and coils.
