The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might prove valuable if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft bed mattress, but it provides a flexible cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve interviewed scores of experts in the mattress industry and in products science; visited lots of bed mattress shops, showrooms, and factories; and pored over the great print on specifications, service warranties, and return policies.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and catering to practically every convenience preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Iseries 100 Firm Mattress Queen Prime V000095372
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brands. But we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress companies, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimum spinal column support”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
