The all-foam Zenhaven consists mainly of latex, which is fundamentally durable. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show helpful if you’re unsure what you prefer or if your needs alter in time. This is not a traditionally soft bed mattress, but it provides a supple cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Given its inherent toughness, the Zenhaven ought to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were also evaluated in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to scores of specialists in the bed mattress market and in products science; checked out lots of mattress showrooms, stores, and factories; and pored over the great print on specifications, warranties, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with a choice of firmness levels and accommodating nearly every comfort choice– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Luxury Firm Queen Reviews
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to fiberglass or chemicals) and only natural cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva promotes such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column assistance”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and resilient foams and coils.
