The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is inherently long lasting. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the Luxury Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might show handy if you’re unsure what you prefer or if your requirements change gradually. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, but it provides a flexible cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Given its innate resilience, the Zenhaven should work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were also evaluated in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of professionals in the mattress industry and in materials science; checked out dozens of mattress showrooms, stores, and factories; and pored over the great print on specs, warranties, and return policies.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– lots of with an option of firmness levels and dealing with almost every convenience choice– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Mattress Powder Toxic?
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do know that the business utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva touts such bonus as zoned layers for “optimum spine support”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and resilient foams and coils.
