The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is inherently resilient. The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove useful if you’re uncertain what you prefer or if your requirements alter over time. This is not a conventionally cushy mattress, however it offers a flexible cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness. Provided its innate durability, the Zenhaven needs to work well for individuals who weigh more than 200 pounds.
These mattresses were also assessed in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the finest foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve interviewed scores of professionals in the mattress market and in materials science; visited dozens of mattress shops, factories, and showrooms; and pored over the fine print on requirements, warranties, and return policies.
Understanding Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with a choice of firmness levels and catering to nearly every comfort preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Mattress Shipping Times
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We have not yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. We do know that the business uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only organic cotton (rather of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column assistance”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer support and durable foams and coils.
