These bed mattress were likewise evaluated in our group tests carried out for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve spoken with ratings of specialists in the mattress market and in materials science; visited lots of mattress shops, display rooms, and factories; and pored over the fine print on specifications, warranties, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with a choice of firmness levels and catering to almost every convenience preference– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Queen Mattress 3
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid designed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. However we do understand that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress business, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column support”; we’re less amazed with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and durable foams and coils.
