The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Company side feels a bit firmer), which may prove practical if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs alter over time. This is not a conventionally soft mattress, but it offers a supple cushion, good edge support, and a subtle springiness.
These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam bed mattress and the best innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve talked to ratings of specialists in the mattress market and in products science; gone to lots of bed mattress showrooms, factories, and stores; and pored over the great print on specs, warranties, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and accommodating practically every comfort choice– includes: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Saatva Unlock Remote
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid created for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brand names. We do understand that the business uses thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and just organic cotton (rather of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva promotes such extras as zoned layers for “optimal spinal column support”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive client service and long lasting foams and coils.
