The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Company side feels a bit firmer), which may show practical if you’re not sure what you prefer or if your needs alter over time. This is not a traditionally soft mattress, but it provides a flexible cushion, great edge support, and a subtle springiness.
These bed mattress were also examined in our group tests performed for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior staff author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of experts in the mattress industry and in materials science; visited dozens of mattress stores, factories, and display rooms; and pored over the fine print on requirements, guarantees, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– lots of with an option of firmness levels and accommodating almost every convenience preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). Sealy Cashmere Pure Comfort Mattress
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environment-friendly” brand names. We do know that the company utilizes thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (as opposed to chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of artificial blends) in its covers. As do other online mattress companies, Saatva touts such extras as zoned layers for “ideal spine assistance”; we’re less satisfied with those functions and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and durable foams and coils.
