The Zenhaven is also flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Gentle Firm side feels a bit firmer), which might prove helpful if you’re not sure what you choose or if your needs change over time. This is not a conventionally cushy mattress, however it provides a flexible cushion, great edge assistance, and a subtle springiness.
These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring mattresses. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel writer for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of experts in the bed mattress market and in materials science; checked out lots of mattress shops, display rooms, and factories; and pored over the fine print on specifications, warranties, and return policies.
Making sense of Saatva Saatva’s portfolio of beds– many with an option of firmness levels and accommodating practically every comfort preference– consists of: Saatva Classic ( innerspring).
Loom & Leaf ( all foam).
Zenhaven ( all latex).
Saatva Latex Hybrid ( latex with coils).
Solaire ( a bed with adjustable air chambers). The New Saatva Mattress Vs Dream Cloud
Saatva HD ( a latex-coil hybrid developed for sleepers who weigh 300 to 500 pounds).
Saatva Youth ( a foam-coil hybrid for kids ages 3 through 12).
We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “eco-friendly” brands. But we do know that the company uses thistle pulp or natural wool as a flame retardant (rather than chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva touts such additionals as zoned layers for “ideal spinal column support”; we’re less pleased with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer service and resilient foams and coils.
